Silverstein Eye Centers Announces Sponsorship of Independence Events Center Ticket Office
Silverstein Eye Centers is proud to announce that its long-standing community support now includes the sponsorship of the Independence Events Center (IEC) ticket office.
“Even before the IEC broke ground”, Steven M. Silverstein, MD FACS “ I envisioned an affiliation with the building to bring great entertainment, sports, and activities to the Independence community and greater Kansas City market.” Dr. Steven M. Silverstein is a board-certified ophthalmologist dedicated to treating thousands of eye care patients. His specialties include cataracts and premium lens implants, refractive surgeries such as LASIK and PRK, glaucoma, macular degeneration, dry eye, disease of the cornea, diabetes, and general ophthalmology. He is committed to the communities in which they live supporting many philanthropic organizations. Dr. Silverstein is a renowned international lecturer and published in many medical journals.
The IEC is a prime destination for East Jackson County. The Events Center and Centerpoint Medical Center Community Ice facility is owned by the City of Independence, MO. It is the largest indoor sports and entertainment venue in eastern Jackson County, located at the intersection of I-70 and I-470, and is viewed by approximately 300,000 vehicles per day. The 5,800 seat multi-purpose facility (7,000 capacity for concerts/center stage events) is home to the Missouri Mavericks of the Central Hockey League and the Missouri Comets of the Major Indoor Soccer League.
The IEC is host to concerts, trade shows, professional sporting events, festivals and community ceremonies including more than 100 events each year with an annual attendance of 500,000.
