During cataract surgery, your eye’s natural lens is replaced with an implantable contact lens. Lens implants are permanent, and – unlike removable contact lenses – you will not feel the artificial lens once it is placed in your eye.

At Silverstein Eye Centers, we provide a variety of lens implant options to meet our patients’ needs.

Lens implants are either standard or premium. Standard lens implants are monofocal, allowing you to see clearly either far away or up close, but not both. People with standard lenses typically see very well far away, but must use glasses to read or see things up close.

Premium lens implants provide a greater range of clear vision. With premium lenses, you can see better at more distances and should only have to use glasses occasionally – although more than 90 percent of patients experience improved vision after cataract surgery, cataract surgery does not always provide 20/20 vision. At Silverstein Eye Centers, we offer the following premium lens implants:

Depending on what you would like to achieve with lens implants, as well as your financial expectations, one of these lens implant options will be right for you. The experienced ophthalmologists at Silverstein Eye Centers are committed to helping you make informed decisions about your vision.
