• DOES INSURANCE COVER REFRACTIVE SURGERY?

Unfortunately, most insurance companies do not cover vision correction procedures, including LASIK and other refractive surgery procedures.

However, because policies vary it’s best to consult with your policy or insurance provider to see if refractive surgery is covered. Some employee programs cover a percentage of certain vision correction procedures, and some private and supplemental insurance plans also offer some coverage for refractive surgery.

If vision correction surgical procedures are not covered by your insurance, Silverstein Eye Centers is pleased to offer a number of financing options, including monthly payment plans via CareCredit and Chase Healthcare.
