• WHEN WILL I BE ABLE TO SEE AFTER LASIK?

Your ability to see without prescription eyewear following your LASIK procedure will depend on the type of refractive error you are having corrected. In many cases, patients are able to see more clearly several hours after their LASIK procedure. Most patients experience improved vision 24 to 48 hours after LASIK; however, it will take a few months for the total results to develop.

Studies have found that more than 90 percent of patients who have received LASIK achieve eyesight of 20/40 or better. Of course, our goal at Silverstein Eye Centers is to provide the clearest vision possible. Every step is taken by our experienced ophthalmologists to ensure you are provided with the highest level of vision correction possible.

20/40 vision qualifies an individual to pass a driver’s license test without the assistance of prescription eyewear. It is our goal to free you from the burden of glasses and contact lenses. During your initial vision examination, one of our eye doctors can give you a better idea of how long your vision will take to stabilize and what results you can expect from your procedure.

If you live in or around Kansas City or Lee’s Summit, Missouri and would like to learn more about LASIK, please contact Silverstein Eye Centers to schedule a free initial consultation today.
