Some of the most common glaucoma treatment methods include:
- Eyedrops – There are several different types of medicated eyedrops that are used to treat glaucoma. Some of them improve fluid drainage in your eyes, while others lower the amount of fluid your eyes produce.
- Laser trabeculoplasty – If eyedrops prove ineffective, a procedure called laser trabeculoplasty can be used to treat open-angle glaucoma. A high-energy laser is used to open up clogged drainage canals, helping fluid drain more efficiently from your eyes.
